Seems to work fine -- initial set-up is a debacle

This watch does everything it was advertised to do, so there are no complaints there. I don't mind the thickness of the watch body--that's the price you pay for a watch that talks to you. Initial set-up was not difficult, but it was extraordinarily cumbersome and time-consuming. Like, give it a day or two before it finally behaves the way it should, and the hands on the watch face match the time on the voice read-out. Taking a star off for that. But if you follow the detailed instructions scrupulously you'll eventually get there. Eventually. This is probably more of a gimmick watch for me than an actual aid for visual impairment, since I can still see okay. But it's a pretty cool gimmick, and it doesn't look bad on the wrist.

HAS POTENTIAL

First, I'm a product tester meaning my reviews are 100% critical. This watch has a nice weight to the body and a nice watch band. The voice is fairly clear and the setting procedures are straight forward. My only problem has been trying to get the hands to match the time. I've spent way too much time trying and given the target audience, this would be very frustrating. No you can't just pull the crown setting knob out and set the time, that isn't possible. So if you just want it for the audible time it's great. Maybe I just got a fluke inoperable one I don't know. UPDATE: I was contacted through Amazon by the seller who offered; "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience regarding your order and would like to offer you a full refund for your purchase." Now that's good customer service. I didn't contact them, they pay attention to reviews, very nice.

Nice looking watch - but way too thick!

Bought this for my wife who is blind. We’ve bought several talking watches over the years so we’re not strangers to these: this one is just too thick to wear comfortably. Band is nice and stretches, but is a bit too large for her wrist even when adjusted. Make this watch thinner and you have a winner!

Easy to set up, large dial face, clear voice.

Talking Watch for Visually Impaired and Seniors Large Numbers, Voice Watch for Blind and Elderly, Talking Watch with Clear American Accent Women.I love almost everything about this watch!Large, readable face!Fairly easy to set up.Voice is clear and articulate, but male accent. Description said it would be female accent. No way to change this.Once the time zone is set, you don't have to worry about Day-light savings time.I actually think the watchband is my favorite out of all the watches I have.Great price, giftable.
